Pilates

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility and awareness in order to support movement. It focuses on the central ‘core” around which movement takes place.
Pilates benefits a wide range of people from rehab to elite athletes, seniors, pregnancy and post pregnancy. All exercises are developed with modifications specific to each individual, which make it safe and challenging for people at any level.

Coffs Coast Sports Physiotherapy offers Physiotherapist Guided Pilates.
Classes and one on one programs are undertaken with Qualified Pilates instructors.

Each person will be required to undertake a Physiotherapist Initial Screening to determine your path within the Pilates program.  Each person will then have a 1:1 session with the instructor to determine what level you will begin on and set an appropriate course for you: whether it may be group class or continue on 1:1 class.
